Rapid unhook a zero cost
When it’s hot I don’t feel like wearing shoes with attachments for rapid unhook. Too heavy.
So I took the idea from power straps; useful and simple objects but expensive, that are used to keep your feet well firm on the pedals still having normal shoes.
You use two leather straps mounted slanted onto the pedal; You insert your foot slightly slanted into the pedal and then you turn it into correct position (marching direction).
Doing so, the strap, which is wide enough in relaxed position goes tight when riding. To get off simply do the opposite and the foot will slide out.
I did the system using an old belt.
Zero cost, high efficiency.
