'A picciridda
This frame was found abandoned, in the usual garbage can, several years ago by Valentina.
Valentina is like a sister.
Darkdark, southerner like me, women from the sea, she left Rome to go to the island.
Now she builds boats, the worst business I can imagine, loads of scoundrel clients, incompetent and conceited.
She had contacted me to change her bike, originally a black Bianchi frame, in a track bike.
Now she’s called ‘A Picciridda (little one in Sicilian), as the frame is pretty low, it’s got two nice track hubs Novatec with double threads, a used central movement Campagnolo Chorus that cost me next to nothing, Shimano 105 garrison, Regina Pista chain and a saddle that to call it luck wouldn’t be enough; a very old Books Professional, found used in a little market.
